10 Fun Frog Songs

If you are a teacher who is looking for fun or educational frog songs for your class, or just a froggy-lover looking for some frog-based beats, this article is for you. Here is a list of 10 popular frog songs you can find on YouTube including, nursery rhymes, lullabies, educational tunes and just silly froggy rhymes.

1. Baby Frog

Baby Frog is a fun educational children’s song about their metamorphosis from egg to tadpole to froglet to adult frog. This can be a great teacher’s choice for teaching young children about the frog life cycle.

In a fun lullaby-style song, you can learn about how the spawn transforms into small tadpoles, that then “grow feet and toes.”

This fun educational song inspires wonder while teaching about how frogs evolve from living in water to living on land.

2. Five Little Speckled Frogs

Five Little Speckled Frogs | CoComelon Nursery Rhymes & Kids Songs

Five Little Speckled Frogs is one of the most popular frog nursery rhymes about frogs. And there is a very good reason why this song is as popular as it is for parents and their children alike, as it is quite educational when it comes to counting.

The best part about Five Little Speckled Frogs is that it allows children to learn how to count backward from five. This is a good start when it comes to children learning how to countdown. Of course, while singing this nursery rhyme, you can also allow your kids to pretend like frogs.

3. Same Street’s “This Frog”

Sesame Street: This Frog

“This” Frog is one of the best frog songs that came from the show Sesame Street. Of course, it is sung by the Muppets’ very own Kermit, who is the most iconic character in the entire roster of the Muppets.

You cannot talk about frogs and the Muppets without talking about Kermit the Frog, and this song is one of the most iconic songs that talk about frogs and about Kermit himself. This is why this song is as iconic as it is when it comes to fans of the Muppets.

4. Froggy Afternoon

Froggy Afternoon - Lucy Beat

Those who grew up during the 90s would be familiar with Froggy Afternoon, and it’s a pop song that tells the story of a girl with a new frog she named Froggy. A huge part of the song describes the frog as being cute, funny, and silly.

So, in a way, Froggy Afternoon is a song that pays tribute to Froggy and how the girl in the song is actually showing her appreciation for her new pet frog, which she calls her best friend.

This isn’t really educational, its just a fun 90’s techno-beat about frogs 🙂

5. Knee Deep

The Muppets at Walt Disney World Knee Deep Muppet Songs

We have another Muppets song on this list, as the Muppets cannot get enough of songs that are about frogs (you can thank Kermit for that). The best part about Knee Deep is that this is a song that tells a story about what it is to be a frog.

So, in a sense, this is one of the froggiest songs you can ever hear from the Muppets. We would also like to say that this is the song that speaks the most about Kermit and what it’s like being in the iconic frog’s shoes.

6. Glub Glub Went The Little Green Frog

Glub Glub Went the Little Green Frog is another nursery rhyme that can be modified depending on different languages that describe the sound frogs make.

Of course, this is also great for a fun day with your kids if you want to have a good afternoon of silliness with them while allowing them to pretend to be frogs as they sing this song.

7. I Have a Little Frog

I HAVE A LITTLE FROG | RHYMES | LYRICS | NURSERY RHYMES FOR KIDS |- KIDS WORLD...

I Have a Little Frog is once again a nursery rhyme that is all about frogs. It’s a good way for your children to get into frogs and learn that frogs aren’t exactly something that your kids should be scared of.

This is a fun, silly nursery rhyme-type song. You can even get your own bubble blower and let your kids blow some bubbles at the end of the song.

8. Crazy Frog

Crazy Frog - Axel F (Official Video)

Crazy Frog belongs on this list because this is one of the most iconic frog songs that don’t really make any sense. The music video is even more iconic than the song itself, and there are plenty of different videos of adults and children alike dancing to this song.

Crazy Frog’s lyrics really don’t make any sense, but the great thing about this song is that it has one of the catchiest tunes you will ever hear when it comes to songs about frogs.

9. Caribbean Amphibian

Sesame Street: "Caribbean Amphibian" with Kermit

This is the last Kermit song we have on this list, as Caribbean Amphibian is one of the catchiest Muppet frog songs you will ever hear. It might take days for you to get the lyrics “A frog in a coconut tree” out of your head, as you will have a serious case of last song syndrome.

It is very catchy because of its combination of good lyrics and a nice tune (CTNF). This makes this song very impossible not to dance to whenever you hear it, and that makes it great not only for you but for the entire family as well.

10. Frog Song

Frog song is a modern, sad, yet upbeat song about living life to the fullest and being honest. It does not really talk about frogs per-se, but I am pretty sure a frog call is used in the song (the “quacking” sound).

The Frog could be considered a metaphor for hopping from one empty, untruthful relationship to find another.

It’s not really made for kids, but may inspire the listener to have the courage (like a frog) to move on to greener grasses when need be.
